The Games That Time Forgot – Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Game Boy Color

220px-Buffy_HandheldToday we look at a computer game that was the first ever one to be made of the classic cult television show Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Whilst the television show went down in history for being a great show, the computer game version of it was unfortunately remembered for all the wrong reasons – for being one of the worst games ever rated. Today we look at the Game Boy Colour Video Game Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer game was released on the 25th of September in 200 and was developed by GameBrains and Published by THQ. The whole game is based around the fourth season of the television show. Whilst on a week off from classes Buffy has to go in and save the day as an army of blood thirsty vampires have decided to invade and ruin everything.

The game is a side-scrolling computer game and in each of the levels you have to fight against the vampires by punching and kicking them and at times staking them at the right time. The game is made up of 8 levels and there are cut scenes in between the games to explain the story in the style of the television show.

The game did not receive many positive reviews because of how poor the gameplay was all round. People found it a disappointment and tell people to watch the show but skip the game.
