MOUNTAIN DEW SANGRITA BLAST
Today we look at a drink that originally was only available in Taco Bells but became popular that they created an in store release of the product with a different taste – today we look at the world of Mountain Dew Sangrita Blast.
Back in 2013, Mountain Dew released a drink called Baja Blast – a drink that could be defined as a ‘tropical lime storm’. it also released at the same time Sangrita Blast as well which was Cherry Pomwegranate flavour. Both of these drinks were exclusive to Taco Bell and you could purchase one whenever you visited a franchise. These were around for a limited time.
If you zoom into the future, well, when I say that I meant 2015 and Mountain Dew makes an exciting announcement to the world – for a limited time only, you could buy Mountain Dew Sangrita Blast for a limited time only in shops. The flavour of the drink however was different to its predesecor as it was this time a citrus flavour and was promoted with the tagline ‘DEW with a blast of natural and artificial citrus punch flavour.’
When the summer months started to kick in some participating Taco Bell stores also started to offer Mountain Dew SAngrita Blast Freeze. The Sangrita drink in the shops and the Blast Freezewere taken off the shelves and replaced with different flavours by the end of summer 2015.
There are various opinions as to whether this version of Mountain Dew is actually very good. Some reviews slate it for its ‘heavy sugar syrupbess’ that has a little flavour. To be fair, it is not surprising that there are these sort of reviews as tere is a lot of sugar in one can! So is it a good drink or was it filled with sugary ‘goo’? Over to the John archives to find out his thoughts!
