Three years ago i bought a book in Tampa which is meant to be a great for creative like minds and for the past three years I have made it my New Years Resolution to complete it. The book is called 642 Things To Write About by The San Francisco Writers Grotto. I never got round to writing many of them so what’s a better way then getting through them then writing a few as an article each week! Enjoy!

287. Write your own Back To The Future moment: Describe how your parents met and how those tiny details set the stage for their relationship and your existence.

The sun was shining down, it was hot, the sea was glistening, a smile leads to a conversation that could be the start of something wonderful….

288. Go to to a cafe watch two people interact. Then write a scene about two people in the cafe.

Roberta grabs her cup even tighter then she did a minute ago – she loved having a catch up with Jarvis but she had other things on her mind. She may be laughing and joking but her mind was miles away – thinking of Jake and what he said last night. He didn’t love her anymore and wanted  a break from them. She couldn’t let Jarvis know about this and discuss it because Jarvis was on such a high from travelling the world and they hardly saw each other – she doesn’t want to upset anyone…

289. At a romantic restaurant on a busy Saturday night, a guy gets down on one knee and begins to propose. You are a sportscaster doing colour commentary of the occasion for a live television audience.

On todays Kitchen corner we have Billy Greg, a 25 year old Banker who is quite new to this event, ah yes that is tough competition to go against, 27 year old Christina – some would say he is punching above his weight in both performance and age, she has won many times in this situation – this is not her first rodeo.

She goes in for the fresh strawberry on top of her chocolate mousse and OH NO WHAT’S THIS – she has taken one eye off the competition and he is on the floor one knee – OH MY WORD we were not expecting the Proposal Routine this early in the game, especially not tonight.

It’s the toughest tactic to play and will he land it? We are holding are breath here in the studio….OHHHHHHHH!!!!!! She admits defeat, he wins by an astonishing amount, they are engaged! The crowd goes wild, he gives a condolence kiss to the competitor. Some haven’t seen that tactic played since the 1992 showdown and the fact he has just beat the world champion Christina at her own game really shows that underdogs really can win the game. They think it’s all over – it is now!
