Forgotten Pop

Forgotten Pop! – This Week – Fe-Nix

Today we talk about a girl band that I only knew existed when I wrote the Lee Ryan article last week as one of the articles i read mentioned this band. I looked into them and whilst they had music out last year they also were around before then. So today we delve into a group that I haven’t heard of and you may of done to find out all about them and sort of work out if they are the same group as the late 2000s.

Fe-Nix are a four piece girl band that was made up of three singers and an MC and was signed to a record label in 2008. From an old press release I found about the girl group when they first came about, it says that they signed to All Around The World / Universal Music and were promoted as a group that was going to ‘take the charts by storm’. According to the press release the girls music style was classed as Dirty Pop as it combined underground beats and catchy choruses.

In 2009, they released the song Lady Baby and was praised by Radio 1 and was landed the no.1 spot in Music Weeks Club Breakers chart. The group were apparantly compared to Mis-teeq on a regular basis. The girl group supported N-Dubz on their 2009 tour as well. The group was made up of Jade, Ayshen, Tanya and Priceless.

I have searched all over the internet and I have not been able to find out when the group broke up but lets have a look at their back catalogue today!
