Before we delve into what this product is, we first need to delve into what a Taco Bell Delight actually is because until watched this video review I didn’t know what they were (which I am sure a lot of other Brits will be in the same boat). Well I will start by telling you that they are a breakfast item and not a dessert which must be a common mistake because they even have a page on their website telling you they are a breakfast item.

page from Taco Bell website that comes up for both Cinnabon Delights and Cap’n Crunch Delights

The original Delights was actually called Cinnabon Delights and was a creation by a teaming up of Taco Bell and Cinnabon in 2013. These items were described initially as ‘warm donut holes filled with delicious Cinnabon Frosting and covered with Makara cinnamon and sugar.”

In 2015, Taco Bell released a new version of the Delights that were called Cap’n Crunch Delights which were the same concept although this time they were covered not with cinnamon and sugar but with crumbs from the Crunch Berries cereal. The filling inside is meant to imitate the milk that you feel that you need with cereal.  According to articles that I have read these two ventures were both separate to each other but there has been questions over how similar they are. So lets stick with Cap’n Crunch ones from now on as I don’t want to create a drama.

Ok, so The Cap’n Crunch Delights could be bought in a four pack and for appearance are bright red with a cereal crumb. They received quite positive reviews with a lot of the criticism coming from the fact they were too sugary. Also some people have said in reviews that they prefer the Cinnabon ones as there was more filling.

The question on everyones lips are though what does comedian John, who Loves Cap’n Crunch think of these new breakfast / dessert ( I read so many reviews / articles – everyone was calling it something different so I am calling it a Breakssert although it is not to be confused with Brexit…..) over to you John!
