CHEX CHIPS CHEDDAR JALAPENO
Now if this brand name sounds familiar then you may recognise it as they are predominantly known for their “Chex Mix” which is an assortment of cereals, crisp, hard breadsticks, pretzels nuts of crackers. The Chex Chips are a newish addition to the Chex brand – they are not completely new as they are an addition to the Chex Mix and what people actually call the core of the Mix.
So what is a Chex Chip? Well, it is a cereal based crisp that is square and sort of has a criss cross design. The Chex Chips became available in 2014 and was released in a selection of ‘bold’ flavours Caramelised Onion, Cheddar Jalapeno, Cinnamon and Sugar and Wasabi.
The chips were promoted with a Unique selling point of holding 25% less fat then regular crisp. To make them different to the Chex Mix, the Crisps are also a lot bigger and puffier. They were sold nationwide in the United States of America for the price of $1.79 for a 1.5 oz bag.
There have been a lot of mixed reviews about the Chex Chips Cheddar Jalapeno flavour – some have complained online that the chips are not cheesy enough and then others have described them as a chip that gets more addictive and better the more you eat. Are they tasty enough for John? We delve into the archive to find out –
