This week sees the return of the really popular comedy festival that opens its doors to some of the best talent in the country for them to try new material, be in discussions or even train workshops. Yes, the SF Sketchfest has returned to San Francisco with a huge line up that you will not want to miss.

This years lineup has some amazing headliners including Ricky Gervais, Rachel Bloom, the cast and producers of Futurama, Paul F Tompkins and Bill Burr. The festival runs between the dates of the 11th to the 28th of January with events happening throughout the day on the weekend and mostly in the evening on the week night. So lets have a look at just some of the events and big names that are playing the event.

Description:  She is the face of televisions most popular comedy music show and for one night only you can see this comedy Queen in her entirety. With a background in improv and comedy as well as acting you can expect a really fun filled night with special guests yet to be announced.

Description: If you are looking for a comedy show with a difference then this is one that should not be missed out. Celebrity Autobiography is an award television show on Bravo and at this years SF SketchFest you can see the stories come to life in front of your eyes. Top comedians act out some of the best anecdotes from celebrities autobiographies. This years line up to perform in the show has a great line up including Peter Asher, Barry Bostwick and even Lucy Davis (star of the UK Office).

Description: If you are looking for some fun and different improv to watch at the festival then this may be an event you will want to go to. The show sees four improvisers create a scene and fun right before your eyes — in the dark! The show will star Scott Adsit (Second City) John Ross Bowie (ABCs Speechless / Barry Kripke The Big Band Theory), Lucy Davis (Office UK) and Gary Anthony Williams (Whose Line Is It Anyway?). The show will be recorded for audible and will be hosted by Cole Stratton (Co-Founder of SF SketchFest) and Janet Varney (Emmy nominated actor, comedian, writer, producer.)

Description: If you are looking for a stand up comedy show with a twist then this may be a show that you would be interested in going to see at the festival. There are a number of comedians performing and whilst they do their thing animators and sketch artists will be drawing them live!
