Lost In Music – A Song That You Can Always Relate To

Welcome to this Months feature! Now, January is a time when it is the start of something new and everything fresh! With that means that people are always on the lookout for new music! Well, this feature may not bring you a lot of new music but it will welcome you into my world! Music is a huge part of my life – if i am not listening to it, i am playing my guitar or keyboard or even writing a post for this site (Off The Record).

So to start off 2018 I wanted to write about a topic I love and I came across this daily challenge so I thought why not turn it into an article! So here we go! Lets start with the first in this monthly feature – Lost in Music (You probably have that song stuck in your head now its by Sister Sledge).

A Song That You Can Always Relate To: It Was Always You – Maroon 5

I only came across this song recently when I was writing the Off The Record for this site and I fell instantly in love with it and realised this song has a lot of relevance to me.

The lyrics were the first thing that made me relate to this song – a lot of the people I end up liking end up being friends first and when that feeling first kicks in it kicks in hard that you don’t know how to act naturally around the said person. Its that sense of realisation and coming to terms with those feelings – all expressed perfectly in this song. For me I tend to stop looking the person in the eye and start going incredibly shy that it sounds like I am off with that person – I can’t help it – its how I naturally react to this realisation.

This song is very relevant to me because it happens a lot. I tend to always fall for friends that’s why I hate things like social media dating. Anyway, it’s a great song and recommend it.
