The Games That Time Forgot: Marvel Super Heroes, Sega Saturn

Screen Shot 2017-11-30 at 11.55.25Today we look at a game that received really great reviews when it was released as it had a great selection of playable Marvel Characters as well as being a game that had the capabilities of contending with some of the best fighter games out there. Today we look at the computer game Marvel Super Heroes.

The Game was originally released in 1995 as an arcade game and was later released in 1997 onto the Sega Saturn. It was developed by Capcom and published by both them and Virgin Interactive. Marvel Super Heroes was a fighting game which was loosely based on the story of The Infinity Gauntlet and saw both heroes and villains fight against each other in the game. Each of the characters to have special abilities and the aim is to fight and win each round against your component.

Throughout the game you build strength on your super meter which allows you to play with different special combo attacks. Throughout the game you need to try and earn the Infinity Gems as these give you special powers for a short amount of time and each of them have different abilities. You can play as a variety of characters from the Marvel Universe including Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, Doctor Doom, Captain America and Wolverine.
