The Games That Time Forgot – Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure, Gamecube

Screen Shot 2017-05-24 at 16.45.27There was a game that was released for Gamecube that was based around a Theme Park. No, I don’t mean the game Theme Park is like Sim City, I mean a game where the aim of the game was to well, experience being in the actual theme park. This week we are delving into the world of Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure.

The game was released in 2001 and was developed by Nai’a Digital Works and Published by Kemco for the Nintendo GameCube. The object of the game was to complete many mini games that were based on the theme park rides that were at Universal Studios at the time, this included rides such as Jaws, Back to the Future:The Ride and E.T Adventure. You needed to raise points to go on the rides – this included picking up rubbish from around the park, shaking hands with costumed characters and answering a film quiz.

The game received mainly negative reviews due to the graphics quality and was even voted as number 78 as one of the worst video games of all time. The cameras only zoomed in at certain places as well meaning it was hard to navigate. Don’t take our word for it watch the video below!
