I love games, i have grown up always with some sort of gaming computer system in the house as my family loved gaming too. When I was a kid we had gaming system such as NES, Super Nintendo and eventually things such as the PS1, PS2, Gameboy etc etc. So, as you can imagine, there have been a few that remind me of childhood and that i love so much. So here are a few games that have memories attached to them and also ones that i love.
Oh Mummy, Amstrad CPC Game
When I was a kid one of my mums work friends gave her their old Amstrad computer and all the games that it had with it and some of them were amazing and i absolutely LOVED playing and this was one of them. It was such a simple game where you had to walk round all the squares avoiding the mummies but I used to love it so much and spend ages playing it.
The Simpson: Bart Vs The Space Mutants, Amstrad CPC Game
Again this was another game that i used to love off the Amstrad PC and used to spend time playing. I don’t remember much about it apart from it being quite hard at times.
Noahs Ark, NES
I have no idea why we had this game, but we did and I used to really enjoy playing it. You have to get to the end of the platform game without the water drowning you as it is constantly rising throughout the game.
Hook, NES
I used to love playing this game when I was a kid and remember spending a lot of time trying to get pass the levels. I remember it being really hard, i don’t remember getting to many levels up but it was good fun.
Tomb Raider 2, Ps1
The one thing awesome about my mum is she loves gaming as much as me. When I was a kid we used to play loads of the computer games together and this was one of them. She loved playing Tomb Raider as for me it was always scary as you never knew when the man was going to jump up round the corner and shoot at you. Mum used to be really good at it and i used to sit with her and watch her play screaming at the television if a bad guy came along. A lot of people at school played this game too and at my childminders we used to play the levels over and over again. My favourite level was the first i used to love the skill involved (and originally it took my ages to finish it – hey i was only about 8 when it came out! I was so happy when i did complete it!) and also the house when you locked the butler in the fridge!
Bobble 4, Ps1
This game was another one that mum and I used to play frequently. It was such a simple platform game but was really fun to play multiplayer on. We used to spend so many nights playing Bobble and competing non stop on it. It was a really fun simple game.
Crash Bandicoot, Ps1
There are many games I could of put in this article but will be repeating myself in the future ones so felt I would end this section with an animal that dominated a lot of my childhood and growing up – Crash Bandicoot. I used to love love love these games and spend hour after hour playing these platform games as they were so addictive. My favourite even to this day is Crash Bandicoot Warped, it was so fun and just had so much entertainment factor.
