Between the dates of 10th – 18th July, The Bedford Pub in Balham will be home to the Balham Comedy Festival. This festival will be a feast of laughter and wit as it has a cracking line up for you to binge out and buy tickets for. Here are just a tiny taster of the acts that are performing at the festival
Harry Hill
Friday 17th July, 9pm, The Round Room, £17
Harry Hill – regular to the event
The Balham Comedy Festival had its grand opening in 2012 and Harry himself was the one who officially opened it. So every year he returns to cast his great comedic shadow on the event.
The show that he is part of is called The Best of Banana Caberet and includes and array of other talent performing that night including Pippa Evans, Imran Yusef and Ben Norris.
If you want to see the slapstick comedy silliness yourself, then this is the event for you. However the TV Burp Star is only performing for a 20 minute set.
Tim Vine
Saturday 18th July, 9pm, The Round Room, £17
Tim Vine
On the Saturday evening of the festival, Not Going Out and gameshow regular (Celebrity Squares for example) is headlining the 9pm show. If you haven’t guessed already I am talking about Tim Vine.
Just like Harry Hill, he will only be performing a twenty minute set and will be joined that evening with Alun Cochrane, Nina Benjamin and Andy Askins. After the comedy there will be a late bar and DJ set until 2am
Paul Daniels
Monday 13th July, 7:30pm, The Round Room, £16

Yes, you did read that correctly, magic man Paul Daniels and his assistant / wife Debbie Mcgee are back! Last year, they duo were a huge success at the event so they are back by popular demand!
It promises to be an evening full of glitter and ‘amazement’ as well as laughter too. So if you fancy something a bit different on a Monday Night – then this is the show for you!
