Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.
CHICK-FIL-A CHIPS
It is always exciting when fast food chains branch out and create a new product item. It is even more of an adventure when they decide to go into a whole different area that they might not be familiar with or known for. Welcome to an exciting venture that happened last year.
Chick-Fil-A is an American fast food chain that is renowned for it’s chicken and waffle fries. It was founded in 1946 in Georgia and is found in over 48 states in the United States. It was also announced last year that it was also expanding to the United Kingdom.
In August of 2025, it was announced that the fast food chain was branching out to a whole new area – chips! Crisps to our UK Readers. They announced that they were debuting two type of waffle cut crisp.
The aim of them was to represent their signature fries / chips that they are known for. One flavour was sea salt and the other was Chick-A-Fila sauce flavour inspired by the smoky, tangy flavour of the sauce.
They were available to buy from grocery stores in the Atlantic and Southeast ares of the USA. They could be purchased for around $3 for a seven ounce bag.
The reviews online state that they are underwhelming as they taste similar to your standard barbeque flavour and that the crisp were a bit mushy at times.
