Everyday this month we are looking at different songs from different films that I love and feel that they deserve their time to shine in the limelight. They are all bits of music that I love and I wanted to talk about them more in depth so that maybe you the reader can have similar experiences and understand why I like them.

Creating a cover for a film can be very risky – it can be better then the original or even worse – it can ruin it! Well, today we are going to look at a cover of a song that works so well and is a fantastic version.

Holding Out For A Hero by Frou Frou is an amazing version for Shrek 2. It has a real fantasy feeling to it which is a great thing for this animation it brings the magic of the film alive in the titles.

There is a version in the film sung by Jennifer Saunders so having this version in the credits is great as it is really different and more independent sounding. It has a sort of choral feel to it as well which really emphasises the drama.
