Everyday this month we are looking at different songs from different films that I love and feel that they deserve their time to shine in the limelight. They are all bits of music that I love and I wanted to talk about them more in depth so that maybe you the reader can have similar experiences and understand why I like them.
Song From Soundtrack: Beautiful Stranger- Madonna
Film: Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me
Year: 1999
You don’t expect a song created for a comedy film parody of a James Bond like character with a really big artist attached would have a great song but this is where we are.
Austin Powers was huge. When the second film happened, it had already reached peak stardom. So it made sense to have Madonna create a song, who was huge at the time. She also went onto do a James Bond theme a few years later.
The one thing that makes this song really great is the video as it is set in the Austin Powers world, and it was way before it’s time and the universe was a thing.Very
Very clever, a great track and a fun song. It really defines the greatness of this comedy world.
