There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

Geneva is a wonderful place, there is so much to see and always changing all the time. One of the most impressive places in Geneva to see is the Jet d’Eau. It is bold, grand and really impressive.

I took this photo on a bridge in Geneva and found the jet d’eau was such an impressive view of the water spray. It goes so high that you cannot help but just watch it for ages.

I like this photograph as I have deliberately positioned the camera so that the jet is on the right side which creates a lot of impact on the photo. If you look at the photograph carefully you will see that there is a bird flying near to the spray as well which also gives a great perspective.

I adore the levels of blue in the photograph which creates the blue boldness which makes it very striking. The element of white in the clouds and the lighthouse and boat makes this picture have a sense of natural light and illumination.
