Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Bitters and Distractions

Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

Our newest single, “The Threads”, is out now via Sell The Heart Records.

Your favourite lyric in this song:

“Been running out of time. Running out of breath. Try to figure out what our body has left.”

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

Right now, our favorite track from the album is definitely “The Threads.”It captures everything we’re feeling creatively.

Your favourite song to play live:

“The Expression Left Your Face” is a standout for us during live shows. It’s intense and emotionally charged, making it a powerful experience every time.

The song that was the longest to write and why?

Interestingly, none of our songs take long to write. If a track doesn’t come together naturally, we move on. We believe in following the flow.

Your most emotional track:

It’s a close call between “Mermaids” and “The Threads” as both carry deep emotional weight and personal meaning.

Dream collaboration:

We’d love to collaborate with any of the bands we’re friends with. Sharing creative energy with people we respect is always a dream.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Stepping on stage is always euphoric. It’s a rush of adrenaline, connection, and pure joy.

The hardest track to play live:

“The Expression Left Your Face” is vocally demanding, making it the most challenging but also one of the most rewarding.

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

We never hit the road without our guitars and microphones.

Describe your fans in three words:

Appreciated. Amazing. Incredible.

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

We don’t dwell on wishing we’d written someone else’s song. We focus on appreciating the music we’ve created and the journey it represents.

What we can look forward to from your band in 2026:

Expect more new music! We’re excited to keep creating and sharing what’s next.
