Yearly Music Hitlist! – April to June 2025

All year I have decided to keep a diary of tracks that I am enjoying so that maybe you can gain new ideas of tracks to listen to or even try out. So I thought what a great way to end the year and highlight some of the tracks throughout 2025 that I have enjoyed. Here are some of my favourite tracks from January to March.

10/04/2025 – Enough Is Enough The Hives

This month The Hives released tour dates for a brand new world tour and along with that was a brand new single – it is punchy, it has a really catchy chorus and it is overall really quite fun. I dare you to listen without tapping your toes.

12/4/2025- Spike Island, Pulp

This month Pulp returned with brand new music and a song that when I hear it reminds me of the old school music they released in the nineties. The band are set to tour this year so releasing new music was on the cards. It is a song that at first you are not sure that you enjoy and it grows on you.

19/4/2025 – Azizam – Ed Sheeran

This month saw the return of Ed Sheeran with a really catchy song called Azizam. It is one of those songs that has a really interesting jingle if you listen long enough times to the song after the chorus that is really interesting and it creates a really fun and dance element to the single.

10/05/2025 – Boy Crazy, Kesha

This has a real essence of old school Kesha as it has a real electric feel to it and that is really catchy. The thing with Kesha tracks is that they are incredibly unique and have a sort of way of getting stuck in your head. This is one of those tracks that you won’t forget in a hurry and a good one for summer.

22/5/2025- Give Me A Break – Michael Clifford feat Waterparks

This song is pure punk pop goodness and it is a track that when you hear it you want to listen to it again. The electric hints at the back of the track make it this track that has a really addictive chorus that will get stuck in your head. It has a hint of Waterparks to it as well as it features their lead singer Awsten

28/5/2025 – Cliche – MGK

This is one of those songs that I can’t work out if I like or hate. It feels a very weird song to be associated with Machine Gun Kelly but also weirdly it works. It has elements of his pop punk album mixed with hints of tracks you may associate with the early noughties. It’s a song with a dance that I have seen constantly on social as they are trying to make it viral.

28/06/2025 – Unravelling, Muse

This new song by Muse has the elements of making it a great track, it slowly builds and has this really enticing electrical jingle that helps build the tension. When the bridge kicks in so do these big bold guitars that make a statement and welcome you into their world. It is a song that is dramatic in all the right ways.

29/6/2025- Survive, Lewis Capaldi

It was great to see that Lewis Capaldi released new music and returned to Glastonbury after 2 years all in the same weekend. This song is a beautiful acoustic with a great chorus that could be an anthem for anyone going through a hard time.

30/6/2025 – Rejects, Good Charlotte

This month saw the return of Good Charlotte which was great to hear after all this time. This is a track that initially feels like a slow burner but when it gets going it has essences of old school music from the band with bold guitars, striking music and a really fun track. It has an element of the goth style words the band are known for but that is what makes it so great.
