If there is one thing I love writing about is Christmas but it is also an event that I love taking photographs of. I adore the sparkling lights of Christmas so I always take a lot of pictures. I always take a lot of images of the decorations as they fascinate me. Over the next few weeks we are going to talk about some of the photographs that I have taken over the years.
Sometimes, you see a light display that when you walk past it, you instantly feel that you need to take a photograph of it to remember it. That is what happened with today’s image take in Edinburgh.
It was a freezing cold evening in December, it had been a long day of travel and delays, so I wasn’t in the best mood and I was pretty tired. So whilst I was waiting for my next mode of transportation I decided to have a look around central Edinburgh.
I am so glad that I did go for a mini walk around as I ended up coming across this vision – it was so pretty and instantly cheered me up.
I adore the depth of this photograph – I love the way that the light sort of gradually develops into a blue in the background. The gold lights at the beginning then build to these deep blue lights at the back on the building and it makes it really interesting.
It is a photo that you can see is a cold evening and whilst there is a lot of blue, the image does not feel cold.
