All this month we are celebrating the world of the Boyband and that means that every day of November we are delving into a different song by a different band! Let’s celebrate the boyband, there were many of them in the noughties and nineties when I was growing up so let’s relook at some of the great ones out there!

Track: Flip Reverse
Artist: Blazin’ Squad
Original Release Date: 2003
Blazin’ Squad were a big thing when I was in the later part of High School. I wasn’t a fan – I couldn’t stand their music and felt their was too many of them. I distinctly remember two of the members phone numbers went around the school and all the popular girls in my year were so excited. I just didn’t understand the craze, they sure did.
There was only one song that I liked and that was because it was different to their other tracks and I really liked the beat.
I quite like how catchy the song was and I think it was the chorus that made me enjoy it as it is really catchy. The mix between rap and the light singing create an interesting style and it is very reflective of this era of music.
Just like a lot of pop songs, some of the lyrics are really silly and it is only now as an adult that I realise just how bad some of them actually are. In regardless, it is still a fun, catchy song.
