In The Morning – Razorlight
Today we are heading back to the mid-noughties to look at a track by an indie band that were in their prime. It was one of those tracks that when you heard it, the song would get stuck in your head.
On the 3rd July 2006, the Indie band Razorlight released the single In The Morning. It was written by frontman Johnny Borrell, produced by Chris Thomas and released under the record label of Vertigo. It was the first song to be released off of their second album that was self-titled.
The song received praise for it’s lyrics about waking up with a hangover with some critics praising it for it’s catchy chorus.
The track did well in the charts and went into the top 20 in Belgium (18), Ireland (12) and Scotland (4). In the United Kingdom it went to number 3 and became certified platinum selling over 600,000 units.
