Tell Us about:
Your favourite joke you have created:
I think my best one is probably my joke about the billionaire submarine, being not sad about it because there’s plenty of oxygen up here and I’m sure some will trickle down eventually… but my favourite to tell right now is a paedophile joke but I like it cos’ people who love it really love it.
Your favourite venue to perform at:
Good question… I like performing in Berlin because I started there and the vibe of the people tend to align with my vibes.
The joke that was the longest to write and why?
I’ve never really sat down to write jokes, I just have ideas and a notes app full of them and then I try them on stage. Sometimes I know there’s a joke somewhere but the best thing for that is to keep trying it on stage until you hit on it.
Comedy hero:
Hannah Gadsby
Dream venue to play at:
I have no dream venue but I do dream of performing to a room of people who are for me that would be amazing.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
‘ah here we go again…’
The hardest joke to perform and why:
There isn’t a universally difficult joke just some rooms that are more aligned than others. There are definitely jokes you get bored of telling.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
My friend made me a specific jumpsuit patterned from my mum’s old beekeeping outfit that has secret nipples in the pockets that I wore for my last show. Maybe I’ll get another one for this show!
Describe your fans in three words:
People like me
What we can look forward to from you this year:
Fingers crossed a new show
