Welcome to a the feature that is going to run every other Tuesday on The Phoenix Remix! The strand Listed! has now come to an end, thank you for those who read it, however from now on we are going on a different adventure – welcome to the brand new feature called 100 Weeks of Discovery!
The shop Paperchase, is sadly coming to an end but in the weeks to the run up, I have been visiting to find out what books I can use to create articles from and luckily yet again, I was welcomed with a brand new one called A Pocketful of Self Discovery!
So for 100 weeks we are going to explore the prompts and see what happens! Enjoy!
Week 67 – What is your Favourite Pieces of advice?
This may sound crazy but I always feel the best advice I have even been given is usually what I remember in a wort of quote mode so here are a few that I always remember.
When editing anything with video and audio – you should close your eyes and listen to the audio to make sure that all of the edits are smooth. This is the best piece of advice that I have been given by a sound engineer in Newcastle. Any editing that I have done throughout my career I always do this as it improves your edit.
Maybe next time you will estimate me – Michael Scott
It weird how much this quote is relevant to my life. People always underestimate what you can do and I love proving them wrong.
The world is a book and those who don’t read only travel a page – St Augustine
I love travelling and I feel that this is a great piece of advice as it really puts into concept what I believe about the world. The more you see the more you know.
“A good cup of tea begins in delight and ends in wisdom”
I am not sure where this came from but I really adore this quote and it may be super British of me but it is true. When you drink a tea it means that you can solve any problem by having a drink and talking it over.
Thank you again for all your support in reading and engaging with the website.
If you want to help support the website then you can! You can buy Holly a cup of tea (and a biscuit!)
