We are speaking to acts that are performing at the Aberdeen Comedy Festival which takes place between  22nd September to 5th October 2025. Today we are speaking to Lou Conran who has a show on the 25th September at the Lemon Tree.

How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to Aberdeen? 

It’s about not knowing how to fit in, and that I am often over looked as is the Gooch! It taint your bumhole it taint your privates, its the bit in-between that no-one knows what to do with and that’s me! 

Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

I’m a bit naughty, a little bit fruity, but it’s mostly observational style storytelling about stuff that has happened to me. 

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing?

I enjoy watching my colleagues on the circuit so anyone is a bonus. 

What is the best thing about performing in Aberdeen?

It’s nice to get out of England! And Scotland is so beautiful. When I’ve been to Aberdeen before everyone was so kind and friendly which always makes it a treat. 

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Someone that leaves the show having had a thoroughly good giggle. That’s all I ask for.
