Tell us about:
Your favourite lyric in a song:
“Angels Screaming at me” is the chorus — it’s the idea that my better angels are telling me to get off my ass, work, and feel gratitude in this dark world; listening to that voice is the only thing that gets me through.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
Apart from “Angels,” probably “Sometimes” from our last record All That’s Solid.
Your favourite song to play live:
Right now, “Angels!” because it’s brand new and is super high energy.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
“Sometimes” took a long time because there are a lot of different parts.
Your most emotional track:
Probably “Ever” from our last record. It is about a relationship falling apart after trying so hard.
Dream collaboration:
We’d love to play some day with Social Distortion. Mike Ness has been my main inspiration for decades.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Nervous, but excited. I’m getting better at drinking water and not worrying about everything the day of the show lol
The hardest track to play live:
Probably “Ever” because it is the most challenging vocally.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Throat Coat Tea. Weed pen
Describe your fans in three words:
Friendly, loyal, and fun.
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Probably “Velouria” by the Pixies.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
More singles, more shows in NYC and possibly beyond. We’re psyched!
