If you visit Lyon, you will notice that there is a really tall building that is a cylinder shape just on the edge of the city. This is the Radisson Blu and this is what we are talking about today.
Radisson Blu Lyon is located on Rue Servient which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main train station.
The hotel starts on the 32nd floor of the Port Dieu tower – from experience it feels really weird being so high up for a hotel but the benefit is the views across the city – you can see for miles and miles.
There are many variety of rooms available and all of them offer amazing views as you are so high up and in a cylinder building.
I stayed here in 2019 mainly for the experience. It has pros and cons. It has the advantage for the views as it is amazing. It can feel really weird being so high up and personally for me I always worried about what would happen in an emergency.
The hotel feels really out of place in an old city like Lyon and it sort of feels weird where all the other buildings are old fashioned.
