How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the Camden fringe?
My previous show was called, YOGA & SEX…for women (over 40) and I wanted to keep the same character I’d developed. Now she’s learnt magic – so by adding “& Sex” it’s a quick way to let people know what’s going on!
Tell us a little bit about your style of show?
One-woman character comedy. There is no fourth wall and I speak directly to the audience which means that some of it can’t be scripted as I never know what people are going to say.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
Dave Bibby’s Hasta La Vista Bibby is sure to be hilarious and Jonathan: By Order of the Peaky Grindrs.
How are rehearsals going?
Good! My co-creator Dan Mersh and I are still in the devising stage, but we’re very nearly there. Expect lots of magic and lots of silliness.
What is the best thing about performing at the Camden fringe?
For me, the Rosemary Branch is a three minute walk from my house!
Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?
Marti Pellow
The iconic image of the Camden Fringe is the Pigeon – if you could call this years pigeon a name to represent its style what would it be and why?
Marti Pellow – a gorgeous and stylish pigeon named after a gorgeous and stylish man
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
@kathrynahaywoodryan or the character has her own insta and TikTok @kathyogasm she’s awesome at it
And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
Magic AND Sex
