How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the Camden fringe?

I felt that writing “evening” in the title would give an immediate indication of the time of day the show is taking place, but felt also that I should then also state the duration, as I did not wish to imply I would be offering the audience an entire evening. While this may prove a disappointment to some, I feel others may wish to do additional things with what is left of their evening.

Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

My show includes stories from the mind, poems from the heart and sounds from the larynx.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Being new to these shores, I am unaware of many of the other companies putting on works. I must say though, I am drawn to the show TONGUESTONGUESTONGUES, as in all honesty my tongue is perhaps my main tool in what I do, alongside my fingers, yet I think about the former a lot less. Since seeing this title, conversely, I have been unable to stop thinking about my own tongue for days.

How are rehearsals going?

None are required, I am happy to say, as I shall be reading from existing works. I will be sure to rehearse my walk to and from the stage several times upon arrival at the venue as always, and I practice saying words before each performance, lest I forget.

London can be an expensive place to perform in – what key advice would you give to performers that is a sort of life hack?

An old man by a stream in Mississippi once said to me “If that mallard had pockets you wouldn’t go chasing it for coins.” I never really knew what he meant by that, but there may be some wisdom in there.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

I recall a dog I met at a county fair around three summers ago, a Labrador retriever I believe. That dog had a wise yet non-judgemental face. Though I sadly never caught his name I’d be happy to have those benevolent eyes casting themselves upon me once more.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

I am more about word-of-mouth to be honest. If you wish to find out more about me, I would say just ask people until one of them knows me, they may have the answers you seek.
