There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Telling The World – Taio Cruz
Today we are looking at a single that was the main theme tune for the animated film Rio. We are going to look at a track that was released by the musician Taio Cruz.
On the 20th March 2011, Taio Cruz released the single ‘Telling The World’, it was the first song to be released from the re-release of his second album Rokstar. The track was written by Taio Cruz and Alan Kasirye and released under the record label of Island.
Since the song was created for the film Rio, it means that the lyrics of the song are relevant to the film and are in the perspective of the main character Blu.
Even though the song is really catchy and is a lovely listen, it sadly didn’t chart very high. In Austria it went to 21, Germany 46, the Netherlands 96. In the United Kingdom the song only reached 38 in the UK Charts.
