One thing I get a lot of at this time of year through the Edinburgh Fringe Interviews is food recommendations from acts. I specifically ask the question so that readers have a vast knowledge of areas they could potentially visit when they are at the festival and may not know about.
I have been to Fringe quite a few times and I have been to Edinburgh a lot as well, so I thought over July I would give you a few recommendations of my own that you may want to visit over the Fringe season.
THE OUTSIDERS
The first time I ever visited the Fringe was 2016 and I found then and even now that the whole food situation is pretty intimidating. So many places, so many people – where do you go?
Well, I found a place that looked busy with an interesting menu and took a chance and I am really glad that I did as the food was delicious.
The Outsiders Restaurant is located on George IV Bridge and opens daily from midday. It is a place that has a lot of food varieties on offer and daily specials that change throughout the week. The food at lunch is reasonably priced but be aware that you do have to pay a lot more for dinner. It is also a place that is incredibly popular so you may need to book in advance – both times I have got in I have been very lucky and they have squeezed me in.
Everytime I have been to The Outsiders I have had a really good meal, yes it is a bit pricey but if you feel like treating yourself then I recommend.
Thank you again for all your support in reading and engaging with the website.
