Sometimes when you go to a country for a city break, you don’t want to necessarily stay in the city centre but want to stay just on the outskirts where there are good transport links. Well today I am going to talk to you about a hotel that you may want to consider staying at.

Hotel Mercure Bordeaux Lac is located in Rue Du Grand Barrail at Qur Du Lac – an area surrounded by hotels that has a reliable tram route to the city centre which doesn’t take too long to travel back and forth from.

The hotel is a 4 star and you can purchase rooms for as low as £80 a night depending on what time of the year and what type of room that you decide to book. There are a variety of room sizes including a suite. There are two restaurants on site and there are also services nearby as well.

I stayed in this hotel in 2018 and enjoyed my time there. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy, the television was in a random position and the staff were really friendly.
