Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Waiting For Smith

Tell Us about:

Your latest single you have released:

Yes, “I Like Life”, I love it and I want it to become your summer feel good anthem to bring you joy whenever you need it.

Your favourite lyric in this song:

“I keep a book about truth underneath my feet , cause it’s the honest things that focus me”

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

No Sign or Feel Ya Flow. Both on the Raised Up album. No Sign was made to help you find your unique gift and Feel Ya Flow was made to put you in a good mood and in flow with the current of life wherever you are in the world!

Your favourite song to play live:

I Like Life at the moment. I split the audience into 2 and get one side to say to the other

“I Like Life, mmmmm

Do you Like life “

The crowd goes wild for it and the whole room becomes one energy.

The song that was the longest to write and why?

I write all my songs in 20 minutes. If they take too long then I start to feel like there’s too much of me in it. Songs for me seem to be found, not created.

I guess I spent a bit more time editing the lyrics for Some Words as I wanted every word to mean something to the listener.

It is a mantra to find freedom and strong self love.

Your most emotional track:

If you mean like moving, or to give you a good cry: Run, Tidal Wave , Heal, Life She Don’t Lie and Song for Grace – all emotional and about more challenging subjects.

Generally In the last few years I’ve made uplifting and joyous music

Dream collaboration:

  1. Nick Mulvey
  2. Post Malone
  3. Shaboozey
  4. Lost Frequencies

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Truly alive. I feel on a deep mission to make the room feel there is no separation , to feel loved, to feel they can do anything and to awaken to their greatness.

The hardest track to play live:

Franz liszt …luckily i don’t play that
