Your latest single you have released:

Our latest release is the self-titled debut EP aibai & vinny. We created this EP remotely from the comfort of our homes in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The project explores themes of nostalgia and hope, blending electronic elements with organic, folk-inspired instrumentation.

Your favourite lyric in this song:

My favorite lyrics from the EP are:

“And I don’t care if it’s hard now
Cuz no one else really matters to me now
And I don’t care if your story’s good
Cuz we’re still living in the same neighborhood.”

These lines resonate with me because they capture the feeling of focusing on what truly matters, even when things get tough. It’s about finding connection and peace in the present moment, regardless of external circumstances. There’s something powerful about realizing that the people who matter to you are right there beside you, no matter where you’re from or what you’ve been through.

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

My favorite song is “story’s good”. This one just hits differently. The lyrics, the melody, the instrumentation. It just sounds so good and really makes me feel something. 

Your favourite song to play live:

We unfortunately have not had the opportunity to play live yet, since we live in different states. 

The song that was the longest to write and why?

“Running Around” took us the longest to write—it was a back-and-forth process that spanned 4 or 5 weeks. There were a lot of moving parts in this song, and since it was our first single, we really wanted to make sure everything was perfect. The extra time and effort paid off, though, as it became something we’re truly proud of.

Your most emotional track:

Each track on the EP feels deeply emotional to us.

“Still Broke” captures the pain of being in a relationship and facing betrayal, while “Story’s Good” dives into the raw emotions of staying with someone through the hard times, even when everything seems difficult. “Open Space” is filled with feelings of hope and love, offering a sense of optimism. And “Running Around” reflects the bittersweet reality of chasing a love that once was, but never quite finding anything like it again.

Dream collaboration:

Our dream collaboration would be Bon Iver. We both love his sound and lyrics. The EP was very much inspired by him.

We are working on our debut album right now which we are super excited about! We also hope to play some shows together once we figure out the logistics.
