There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.
I think one thing that I take a lot of photos of is Tower Bridge in London. It is such an interesting piece of architecture that you can trust to keep taking photos of it and the personality of it changes. The last time we spoke about it the photograph was up close and personal and at night time – today we are going to look at a different angle.
One thing that is interesting about Tower Bridge is it’s location- you can get so many different shots as it has so much unusual architecture. and the angle of today’s photo allows you to see a bit more of the modern side around it. It also means you get to focus on the boats as well – which you don’t really get from the other side.
I like this photograph as it creates a sense of a ‘working bridge’ a lot of the time we see the bridge as a tourist perspective. I think having lots of boats and business buildings in the background shows a more realistic side of the city which I like.
I really adore the way the boats are positioned and gives the photograph more depth. It makes the bridge both the main focus but also part of the image which is really interesting.
The colours are neutral which means that you can see the realism of the city even more which I think it makes it more interesting.
