If there is one thing that fascinates me about improv and that is how it is portrayed in Television, books and Film. This is becoming more and more apparent in recent years because the comedy art form is sort of in fashion. There are some interesting topics that we can gain from these ways they are displayed so every so often we are going to look at different scenes from different shows and films.
This week we are back into the world of Taskmaster to look at another game they have played that I have definitely played myself in improv rehearsals. So I thought I would put the show in the limelight again.
In the final episode of Season 18, the studio task means they have to play a game where they stand in a circle- put their heads down and then after three look up. If you are looking directly at someone else in the circle then you are both out.
It is a fun little game that allows you to get into sync with your team or others in rehearsal and it is a great game that keeps you focussed.
It was fun seeing another improv / acting game put in the limelight although I am sure it was inspired by other forms it is still fun to see.
