There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Beginning Of The Twist – The Futureheads
Today we are heading back to 2008 to take a look at a single from The Futureheads that you may not remember. It is a catchy little song so let us take a look at the history behind the track.
On the 10th March 2008 the Indie band The Futureheads released the single Beginning Of The Twist. It was written by David “Jaff” Craig, Barry Hyde, David Hyde and Ross Millard. The track was from their third album This is Not The World and was released on the record label Nil Records.
It may sound familiar as it has been used as the entrance music for Sunderland at their home stadium on match days and on the computer game Pure.
The Beginning of The Twist went to number 20 in the UK singles chart and number 1 in the UK Indie chart .
