Media and improv is a funny little thing – for years television show have used improv as a cheap joke or a thing to slag off whereas social media is starting to do the opposite. Yes, we are here again, talking about Tik Tok trends and another one I stumbled across that definitely came from improv as I have played this game so many times.

What Are you Doing? is a simple improv warm up game – two people enter the scene doing the same movement – I have played it the other way as well where you are both doing two completely different movements but we will focus on the social media trend at the moment – One person asks the other person what they are doing and they explain a reason for that movement, the other person will then say what they are doing which will be completely different. It is a simple but really effective way to warm up your imagination for the world of play.

It is refreshing that improv is being seen in a positive light but also great to be able to highlight an important improv warm up game.
