The Travel Book

The Travel Book – Travel Through A Photo – London, United Kingdom

There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

I love London – there are so many places that look normal from the outside but when you walk inside them they are mind-blowing as they are really wonderful.

I have always felt that Hays Gallery is one of these places that has the ‘wow’ factor. I think the way to truly get the impact is to walk through the entrance near the Thames as that is where it is most grand. This is where this particular photo was taken.

I love this photograph as I feel it really shows the height and the grandeur of the building. The glass ceiling is what brings your eye to the centre of the image and to the ship that is in the centre.

This photograph was not taken near Christmas but the gold lights really create a wonderful scene and makes it really bold. The blue lights in the water also create a sense of warmth.

The photo really makes me realise why I love London.
