Alyth is the beginning of a lot of walks in Scotland which means that there is going to be a lot of tourists and people passing through ever year. It is a place that can be easily accessed by bus from Dundee and Perth and it is just up the road from Blairgowrie. When you visit areas like this it can be difficult to find a good place to have food as you are usually there for a limited time. Well, if you happen to be in Alyth, I have the perfect place for you and if you have an interest in bikes or cycling then this will be double the treat for you!

Nonnina’s Kitchen is situated in the central of Alyth, about a five minute walk from the main bus stop in the square. It is in a converted church that also plays home to the kitchen and a bike shop. It is open everyday of the week, throughout the week for sandwiches and coffees and on the weekend for pizza which is all fairly priced. It is also important to mention that the place is run by someone who is from Italy and so everything is traditional to family recipes.
We found this pace by looking for places to eat in the area and this had such great reviews we went along to visit. The food was fantastic, the staff were really friendly and I would say if you are in Alyth – visit, visit, visit!
