Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

“Wha-Gwaan”-Ft. Frank Benbini (Fun Lovin’ Criminals/UB40/Uncle Frank)

Your favourite lyric in this song:

“Look around, Hear the sound, all the people talking – not a one a listen…”

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

“Some Ol’ Dolls” – From The Mess We Made. We’ve been performing it for nearly a decade, and sadly enough it still resonates. It’s inspired (and always dedicated to), my grandfather – The Late Mr. Jesse James Bryant…My Hero, and a total Badass!!!

Your favourite song to play live:

ALL OF THEM…We have a lot of cool tunes, and we’re always morphing the live performance arrangements so they stay fresh.

The song that was the longest to write and why?

Songwriting is a fluid process for me – I’m always writing something… It takes however long it takes.

Your most emotional track:

All of them…

Dream collaboration:

I’m a huge fan of Lola Young! I’m also a big fan of Inflo/The Sault collective. I would love to do something with them. And of course the legendary Mr. Lewis Taylor.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Free. I’m probably most comfortable when I’m on stage.

The hardest track to play live:

Proper Preparation Prevents P*** Poor Performance.  By the time we hit the stage the music is very much alive!

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

My guitar. All of my guitars are made by the amazing folks at Collings Guitars (located in Austin, Texas.) Made with Love & Soul.

Describe your fans in three words:

Sexxxy! Funky! Fun!

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

“Be Thankful for What You Got”-by William DeVaughn.A timeless’70’s Soul Classic. In fact-We play it towards the end of our show.

What we can look forward to from your band this year:

More shows… More music… More joy!!!
