Every day this month we are taking a look at a variation of couples from different television shows. It is the month of ‘love’ so it in tradition we are looking at the world of relationships. There will be spoilers throughout so be warned!

Day 21 – Ray and Debra,

Everybody Loves Raymond

If there is one couple that needs to be on this list then it is none other then Ray and Debra. The whole of Everybody Loves Raymond is about their marriage so it is only right that we discuss them as there they are pretty funny.

The thing that is great about the couple is the way Ray does lots of things to try and get the sympathy vote but instead he is actually using it to get his own way is very funny because Debra always catches him out and plays him at his own game.

The show also focusses on the parents and how they interfere with Ray and Debra’s marriage – they live across the street so that always helps. This can at some points get irritating but it part of the show that makes it work so perfectly. The right level of interfering to create a comedy in the relationship of Ray and Debra.

They are a fun couple and there are some really fun episodes that make it great.
