Taste Of States – This Week – Chicken Wing Ice Cream

Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.

CHICKEN WING ICE CREAM

We are delving into the world of the food and fairs Fair and we are looking at product that was created for one in Florida by the Polar Bear Ice Cream. You have more then likely had many chicken wings in your lifetime but have you had them in ice cream? Well, today we explore that.

In 2013 at the Country Youth Fair and Exposition in Miami, the company Polar Bear Ice Cream released to the world Chicken Wing Ice Cream. The product combines an ice cream base of cream, pressed vanilla, churned and then cooked chicken wing meat is added the ice cream. Once that is mixed in they add a hot sauce drizzle. To serve the ice cream they add a drizzle of fudge sauce and ranch dressing with an additional drizzle of hot sauce. It is all finished off with a dollop of whipped cream.

The reviews I have seen for this product online have been incredibly positive with everyone praising how unique and well flavoured the ice cream is.
