There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Natural Blues – Moby
Today we are going to look at a single that was released by the electronic musician Moby that you may recognise as it does turn up ever so often on adverts and in the background of the television shows.
On the 6th March 2000, Moby released the single Natural Blues which was the fifth single to be released from the album Play which was released in 1999. The single was produced by the musician and released under the record labels of V2 and Mute.
If the song sounds familiar it could be because it features a sample of the track Trouble So Hard that was originally released by the Americans singer Vera Hall and originally released in the 1957.
The song did really well in the charts and went into the top 10 in Belgium (5), France (9), Ireland (1), Italy (9) and the US Max single sales chart (6). In the UK it went in at number 11 in the charts, number 7 in the UK Dance chart and number 3 in the UK Indie Charts. It also became certified silver in the UK selling over 200,000 copies.
