In 1999 Emma Bunton teamed up with the English group Tin Tin Out to release a cover version of the single What I Am. The original song was released by Edie Brickell and New Bohemians on the 1st November 1988.

The Emma Bunton version was released on the 1st November 1999, it was released under the record label of Virgin and VC and was produced by Tin Tin Out.

The single was from the Tin Tin Out album Eleven To Fly which was released in the same year and was also added to Emma Bunton’s debut solo album Girl Like Me (which was released in 2001).

Their version of the song did really well in the chart and went in at number 2 in the United Kingdom. It became certified silver as it sold over 230,000 copies.
