One thing I have learnt about living in Scotland is that there are a lot of places that may not look like a cafe that end up being one that has really lovely food. Today we are heading to Perthshire and to the town of Perth to have a look at a location that when I first saw it initially I was convinced it was a flower shop or something but when I walked past it another time I discovered it was not.

The Rose House is situated on St John Street which is about a 15 minute walk from the train station and in the centre of town. It is a really unusual location for a coffee house because it is also a bespoke florist and floral academy as well where you can actually purchase gifts.

Even though it is a florist, it also has a really impressive coffee shop with a lot of space inside and also space outside if you prefer to be in the sunshine or rain.

The menu is varied and there are also options available for vegetarians and other dietary requirements. They do a variety of food including sandwiches, soup, italian style tapas and cakes, they also have a coffee machine where you can purchase an array of variations.

It is a really impressive coffee shop, the staff are friendly and the food was very tasty. I would say that if you are in the area of Perth, give this place a visit.
