Hello! Tell us about yourself?

Just a cheeky little rascal trying to have it all in the big city!

Tell us all about your show!

A modern day romcom about a holiday fling I had in Gran Canaria. Like Romeo and Juliet but if they chilled out a bit and were also two gay men.

How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the fringe?

A rapidly approaching deadline, and Aladdin 2: Return of Jafar was already taken.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Anything involving puppets or penises, but never a combination of the two.

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

I did a short run in 2022, and what I always say to people is follow your intuition – but only if it’s telling you to see my debut hour at Gilded Balloon.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

Is this like one of those Vogue skincare videos? I splash hot water on my face to open the pores, then scratch away the dead skin with a windshield wiper I broke off a car. Finally, I follow the Wim Hof Method and throw glasses of ice water on unsuspecting strangers. It really works!

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?

Sitting in a quaint Edinburgh café, watching one of those outdoor silent discos get rained on.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

Back of a bus, foetal position, gnawing on a McDonald’s, trying to remember who I used to be. But also Ting Thai Caravan!!!

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

The guaranteed success.

Top tips for travelling around the Fringe and getting to shows on time?

Use the sewers.

What would be your top three items every performer must take to the fringe?

Flare gun, bandages, one of those spinning chairs from The Voice.

What’s the secret to successful flyering?

Eye contact. It really helps you train the carrier pigeon, and they’ll take those flyers wherever you want.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

Instagram @pieceofweirk. Depending on how Fringe goes, maybe OnlyFans in September.

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Something fun, innit?
