Hello! Tell us about yourself?

Hullo!

I am dedicated to restoring power to women. I think our cyclical nature is fascinating and underrated. I have explored many mediums in pursuit of this devotion – podcasts, TEDx talks, music collaborations, a best selling book, Period Queen, workshops in corporate spaces, schools, festivals, I love what I get to do. I am a mother to two young adult sons and I regularly collaborate with my creative director partner who is also the only known menstrual doodler in the world (as far as I know).

Current bio is here…

Lucy Peach believes that embodying cycles of being supports a thriving world. Devoted to raising cuntciousness, she draws on her experience as a human biology teacher, sexual health educator and award-winning performing artist to restore balance and create reverence for our cyclical nature throughout the lifecycle. As a published author, speaker and educator, Lucy has delivered her message to thousands of people through her book ‘Period Queen’, as a TedX speaker, via her  online courses and her show, ‘My Greatest Period Ever’. Lucy works with elite sports teams and businesses to use cyclical thinking to deliver the highest possible outcomes for athletes, leaders and organisations.

Tell us all about your show!

It combines my passion for body literacy, singing, being playful, making people feel that their bodies are magic. It is a tour through the emotional landscape of the menstrual cycle with stories, purposely written songs for each of the four phases, audience engagement, some science ( I am a lapsed human biology teacher with a background in sex education) and my husband’s large scale live animations.

How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the Fringe?

In the middle of the night about 5 minutes before the deadline.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?

Laura Davis!

Have you done the Fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the Fringe.

We’ve performed at Brighton Fringe once and Perth Fringe for 8 years in a row.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

Meditate, yoga, journal, call my Dad, lemon water, big fat breakfast, bath, self love, makeup, show, talk to people about their periods for an hour, wander around following my nose, stay hydrated and off my phone, daily checkins with my co-performer/husband, be nice to ourselves and each other and see as many shows as possible!

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the Fringe?

Pace yourself, save your voice, remember you are performing because you love it – enjoy yourself, breathe, nap, look at clouds, touch grass, be curious and also walk out if you want.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

Somewhere with a vegetable.

Best thing about performing at the Fringe?

Being immersed in creativity and bravery.

Top tips for travelling around the Fringe and getting to shows on time?

Make a friend who likes to be the time police.

What would be your top three items every performer must take to the Fringe?

Ear plugs. Tequila. A stress ball?

What’s the secret to successful flyering?

Have some other useful information on the other side of the flyer like how to life hack your menstrual cycle etc. Make your flyer something people would want to keep in their wallet as a reference for how amazing they are.

If people want to find out more about you, where can they follow you on social media?
