Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are looking at a book by an couple that have been together for years.
The Greatest Love Story Ever Told (2018)
Nick Offerman & Megan Mullally
Synopsis
Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman reveal the full story behind their epic romance – presented in a series of intimate conversations between the couple, and including photos, anecdotes and the occasional puzzle.
– from Nick Offerman’s website
Positive Points
This is a fantastic insight into what it is like to be a married couple living and working in Hollywood. Whilst Megan and Nick are not your average Hollywood couple and a lot of time keep themselves grounded, there are a lot of great anecdotes throughout which tell you of their story of love and their careers. It gives you an insight into their relationship and makes you want to have a similar one.
Negative Points
I didn’t have many, I think the one thing that is frustrating it is hard to get the physical book in the UK unless you want to buy it off of Kindle. I listened to this on Spotify and whilst I missed all the photo sections unlike other audio books they did describe them for me in audio form but it wasn’t the same.
Overall Review
I really enjoyed this book and it was lovely to read a positive story coming out of Hollywood from a couple then all the scandal and negativity. It is a positive book and I would say a great read.
