Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.
SMUCKERS UNCRUSTABLES
Have you heard of the brand Smuckers? I am sure you have as they are a huge Peanut Butter brand that whilst they are in the USA, I am sure you can buy their products in this country. One thing you may not be aware of is that they do other products as well.
If you are someone who requires a sandwich at ease and want to just pop one out of the freezer then this may be a product for you.
Smuckers Uncrustables are sandwiches that are frozen filled with a variety of flavours – including peanut butter and grape, peanut butter and strawberry, chocolate, peanut butter and honey. They have no crusts so they are sort of like mini pockets with a filling.
You can purchase Uncrustables from the frozen department and can be bought in batches of four, ten, fifteen or eighteen in a pack depending on what size you purchase. They are solely to be eaten defrosted (which takes 30-60 minutes) and should not be cooked at all.
If you are worried about the waste of the crusts from each product then never fear! According to their website they send the crusts to companies that transform it into animal feed.
There are a lot of positive reviews of Uncrustables online with people praising the flavour.
