There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Beat Mama – Cast
Today we are looking at a single that was released by the Liverpudlian Britpop groups in the nineties. It may be a song that you remember but it is one that upon hearing it I do not recognise it. Today we are looking at a song by the band Cast.
On the 26th April 1999. It was written by John Power (who as well as being in the band Cast they were also the ex-bassist of the band La’s). The single was produced by Gil Norton and released under the record label of Polydor.
The single was from the bands album Magic Hour and apparently was the groups seventh and final UK top ten hit single.
The song did well in the charts and went into the charts at number nine in the United Kingdom. It went into the European charts at number 45.
